An exceptional brass helmet shaped coal scuttle and shovel, having a handle simulating a military chin strap. These models are extremely rare, and it has been in use by our family for the last sixty years. It was originally purchased from a dealer in Newton Abbot when my father was 16 years of age. Having moved, my parents no longer have a fire place and would like to find an appreciative house for a family heirloom. The hand of the shovel has been soldered.
