A Rare Tudor Oak Chest. English. Circa 1530-70.
This fine and rare Tudor chest has a single board top with original hinges above a front carved with two medallion roundels with portrait centres of a male and female, possibly the original owners.
Both roundels cornered by leaf and bud carving, the sides extending as feet supports with gothic cut-out decoration.
