A rare silk velvet letter wallet, purse pouch or belt bag, circa 1600.
The emerald silk velvet to all sides edged with metallic braid, paired tassels to the four corners of the base, fastened by means of eight eyelets and cord, underneath an outer broad flap secured with iron lock and working key, all lined with green silk.
