A rare Henry IV oak polychromed appliqué or mount, designed as a male mask, circa 1410.
Modelled wearing a chaperon, with bourrelet and liripipe, the face with furrowed brow, well-defined eyebrows and slightly open mouth revealing both sets of teeth, moustache and centre-parted beard. Old losses.
