A rare and serene Richard II / Henry IV Nottingham alabaster relief, circa 1400.
Designed as the 'Coronation of the Virgin', Mary crowned as Queen of Heaven with praying hands, seated beside Christ holding the globe with His right arm raised in blessing, traces of polychrome, mounted on a crimson silk-velvet stand, typical old losses. Dimensions excluding mount.
