A substantial primitive ash three legged stool.
Probably from the last quarter of the eighteenth century, this lovely stool is in ash and has a wonderful two inch thick top and three chamfered edge legs which are pegged through the top.
Three legged stools were made to give them more stability on uneven floors. Wonderful colour and patination.
16 inches x 10 inches across the top x 14 1/2 inches high.
