Spectacular set of Piero Fornasetti gold coasters decorated with the "Melodramma" pattern depicting leading Opera roles.

These are named:

Jose from Carmen by George Bizet.
Otello by Giuseppe Verdi.
Pinkerton from Madam Butterfly by Puccini.
Rodolfo from Bohemme by Puccini.
Carmen by Bizet.
Desdemona from Otello by Verdi.
Butterfly from Madam Butterfly by Puccini.
Mimi from Boheme by Puccini.

All in gold circular box. The Rodolfo from Bohemme by Puccini dish has a firing issue with the gold slightly matte (see photo).

Mark: Within a black scroll the typical hand and brush and Fornasetti Milan/Made in Italy with a number in series of 1-8 and gold gilders number.
