Piero Fornasetti Ceramics Barware Snack Bowls- Set of Six

Each pottery barware appetizer bowl has a different design of items related to bar snacks - cheese, olives, onions, cocktail sausages (gilt on inner border rubbed), almonds and another type of nut on the stem. Each bowl has an inner gilt band and another around the exterior of the foot.

Mark: There is a black Fornasetti Milano/made in Italy on a black printed star with the hand and brush in the centre.

Reference: Fornasetti, The Complete Universe, Barnaba Fornasetti, Page 560, #13, where the bowls are called appetizer bowls. Sold in sets of six, there were twenty-six different designs.
