A matched pair of “pompier red” Stockholm table lamps by Maison Charles, designed by Jean Charles in the 1950’s – these versions are from the Charles Legacy series produced circa 2010 – One is solid bronze and is stamped “Charles” “Made in France”, the other is made from resin and is also stamped (indistinctly) ”Charles”.

The shades are recovered in black linen, original wiring with E27 lampholders. 

This iconic design from the 1950s won Jean Charles an Honourable mention for design at the 1992 Salon des Luminaires in Paris.
