A magnificent pair of Antique Silver George III Wine Coasters made by Henry Brind of London in 1768. The coasters are beautifully hand pierced and are unusual in that they have a silver base covering the mahogany underneath. On the silver base the original owners armorials are engraved and to the side is his engraved crest. They are both In excellent condition. A very fine pair of coasters which are of a very early date (coasters start to appear for dining use in the early 1760s.)
