A very beautiful Danish silver wine jug made in Copenhagen in 1892 by Simon Groth. The jug is very finely hand engraved with scenes of classical antiquity, and is gilded to the interior. It will hold about 1100 ml (Approximately 1.5 bottles of wine). Around the two scenes -a Satyr watching his son playing pan flutes and on the other a lady feeding a young boy grapes there is a frieze of hand engraved vines. A very elegant piece in excellent condition.
