A fine pair of Antique Silver French Claret Jugs, first standard (.950 pure) silver, made in Paris in circa 1905 by Risler and Carre of Paris (1899-1912) 16 Rue de Fauborg Saint - Honore Paris. Risler and Carre were one of the finest Parisian makers of the period (see biography in pictures).
The jugs have wonderfully engraved cut glass bodies and fine hand chased bodies with gilt interiors and are both in top class condition. A very handsome pair of wine jugs.
