This spectacular Montelupo pottery dish is painted with a male equestrian wearing a plumed hat and holding a large striped banner. The piece dated to the mid 17th century period in Tuscany, Italy.
NOTE; Florence's rich and royal families stimulated the growth and quality of Tuscan ceramics from Montelupo. The pottery produced was so famous and popular that it was exported all over Europe.

Current Condition: Unrestored with some chipping to the reverse of the dish.
