A Very Attractive And Unsual Mid 19th Century Occasional Centre Type Table, Of Extremely Unusual Design, Having Rosewood, Birdseye Maple, Walnut And Other Exotic Veneers To Hexagonal Tilting Top, Over Elegant Cluster Column Support And Carved Tripod Base.

A quite striking and charming table which is of relatively unusual design for the mid 19th century. This makes it quite difficult to state with confidence where it originates from as there are various places around the world which the techniques used in creating the top were popular at this time. However the majority of the construction methods appear British, or at the very least British Colonial.

It is incredibly nice to look at and from a functional perspective most useful indeed. Big enough to have presence without overpowering anything if it stands centrally, but would also serve just as much purpose as a side, corner, or end table.

As with all of the items we offer for sale this little table has been examined and naturally waxed in the traditional manner by our highly skilled restorers to ensure it is presented for sale in a condition which allows it to be placed straight into the home.

Circa 1850.

Height 29in.
Width 26in.
Depth 23.5in.
