Mennecy porcelain cruet.
A rare Mennecy soft paste porcelain cruet stand, France, circa 1755. The boat shaped base, supporting twin lattice worked baskets, which for the bottle holders. Well painted with sprays of flowers to both the interior and exterior of the base.
The lattice work in yellow and blue, with puce enamelled rims.
Incised ‘DV’ and ‘A’ to the underside of the base.
Length – 24 cm, 9 1/2”.
Height – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Depth – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
Condition – Small chip to the rim – please see images for detail. No restoration.
