Meissen Gilt-Metal Mounted Porcelain Puce Camaieu Chocolate Pot and Cover,
Circa 1760
The large Meissen porcelain chocolate pot has a leaf form handle with a wooden grip. The handle and spout moulded and painted in puce camaieu with flowering stems. The body and cover well painted with puce flowers. The cover with a gilt metal flower finial and handle and a spring mechanism within to hold the flat cover in place.
