This fine example of a Liverpool Delftware pottery bowl is artistically painted in blue of a 32 gun British Frigate with five crew members on deck. The ship proudly displays the British flag ensign and a long streaming banner from the mainmast.
The exterior is decorated with Chinese pagodas in a garden with rocks and insects. The bowl has a satisfying "ring" when tapped and is in excellent order with only minor historical chipping at the base rim.
