Liverpool Creamware Dessert Dish, Heculaneum, Circa 1810-15.

An Antique English Yellow-banded Openwork Creamware Dessert Dish Probably Liverpool Herculaneum.

The charming Liverpool creamware dish has an outer band of fretted open-work attached to a basketweave border. The outer section of the central well has a wide band of yellow ground with a band of wheatsheafs.

Each part of the design is separated with various types of different black bands. The central well is left plain. 

Reference: The Herculaneum Pottery: Liverpool's Forgotten Glory, Page 131, Figure 114 for the plates with the same fretting and moulding but with painted decoration and marked Herculaneum.
