Limoges Porcelain Dessert Plates decorated with Feathers,
Set of Ten,
1891-1900.
The Limoges porcelain plates are each painted with bird feather decoration, some with a single feather and some with multiple feathers. The rim is shaped and molded and highlighted in gold.
Dimensions: 7 7/8 inches diameter x 1 inch high.
Mark: Printed seven-point star with the letters Limoges in the points with FRANCE below- all in green. This mark was used from 1891-1914. Based on the style of the decoration we date the plates to the first part of this period.
