A Liberty blister pearl gold pendant by Archibald Knox.

For sale is this gorgeous and very wearable Liberty gold and blister pearl Cymric pendant designed by Archibald Knox.   The pendant is unmarked but there is no doubting this a Knox Liberty piece and it will appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming third edition of his book “Archibald Knox”

The design of this necklace encapsulates Knox at his best.  An incredibly simple and elegant piece elevated with his trademark Celtic entrelac; the elongated shape of the pendant itself bring a real modernity to the piece.

The condition is excellent and original.  The blister pearl is a particularly good example.  One of the turquoise has turned green from its original blue colour, which can happen with age and handling.
