THIS VERY UNUSUAL EARLY 17TH CENTURY OAK BUFFET IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE NORMAL CONFIGURATION OF BUFFETS, INSTEAD OF THE NORMAL SINGLE TOP AND MIDDLE DRAWER, THIS ONE HAS TWO TOP AND TWO MIDDLE DRAWERS. THE TRUE RIGHT DRAWERS ARE MITRED AND BOTH HAVE LOCKS, WHEN LOCKED THE LEFT DRAWERS CANNOT BE OPENED BECAUSE OF THE MITRES. THE WHOLE IS BEAUTIFULLY CARVED WITH GUILOCHES, STRAPWORK AND LEAF DECORATION. THE SLENDER COLUMNS CARVED WITH FISHSCALE AND TREE OF LIFE CARVING. GREAT COLOUR AND PATINATION.
