A very interesting and useful low table.
Dating to about 1845, this lovely little table is stamped by the well known London cabinet makers Holland and Sons. Most of their pieces are more grand and they supplied pieces for Windsor Castle and Balmoral.
This particular piece may have been supplied to order. It has a superb one piece elm top with lovely figuring to the timber and the turned legs and stretchers are in fruitwood and beech. It is in excellent untouched condition.
It measures 30 1/2 inches x 14 inches across the top and stands 17 inches high. It would make a perfect coffee table and is easy to pick up and move. Circa 1845.
