A very good quality 18th century mahogany Secretaire Bookcase of diminutive proportion.

Having 13 pane astragal glazed doors above secretaire drawer and three long drawers, with replacement brass swan neck handles, raised on original shaped bracket feet.

A delightful example of an 18th century secretaire Bookcase this item is a lovely, sweet, small size with mainly original glazing to the doors.

It is excellent quality and the choice of mahogany has been considered. Also it is a quite unusual for a smaller example to have such a relatively refined interior, which is a nice touch.

Although the handles are replacements they are of the original style and are a more than acceptable replacement for the original.

In fact, from a distance you would never imagine they are replacements.

Overall the condition is excellent and due to its small size it would be perfect in such a variety of spots and spaces around the home.

Circa 1760.

Height - 82.5in.
Width - 38in.
Depth - 21.5in.
