Elegant pair of GEORGE III sterling silver goblets on reeded six-sided bases.

Makers: URQUHART & HART. London 1798.

ARMS: Possibly LEY.

The goblets are completely plain apart from the contemporary engraved arms with family crest above on one side of each bowl and a set of reeding on each foot. Both bowls are gilded on the inside.

The full set of hallmarks are clearly stamped on one side of each foot, while one of the maker's mark is slightly rubbed.

The plain background on these goblets emphasises the elegant engraving of the family coat of arms and crest.
