French Porcelain Pot Pourri Jars & Covers Modelled as Lidded Baskets,/
St. Cloud, Circa 1745-55
The St. Cloud porcelain potpourri is modelled as a two-handled flower basket (panier de vannerie) raised on a pierced domed base (terrasse) with applied garlands, the flat pierced cover strewn with very finely modelled naturalistic flowers and twisted garlands. One original handle has been off/on.
