The fluted Worcester porcelain coffee can and saucer are finely painted with a central reserve with a landscape scene with a flower and butterfly design surround. The border with a wet blue and gold rim.
The saucer with a view of a river with two church steeples in the background and the cup with a "classical" temple ruin by a river.
This design is closely related to the Lord Henry Thynne and Earl Dalhousie patterns.
Dimensions: Saucer-4 3/4 inch diameter x 1 1/4 inches high; Cup- 2 1/2 inches high x 2 `1/2 inches wide
Mark: open underglaze blue crescent on the cup.
Reference: Worcester Porcelain: The Klepser Collection, Simon Spero, Page 126-127, #144 for a cider jug, coffee cup and saucer with the same design but with a slightly different gilt border design very similar decoration.
