A Jasperware felsparic bodied bough pot of superior quality with an elaborate dome cover with a flower finial. The decoration of the center panel shows two winged cherubs at play modeled on a dark orange ground.
The main body is a Wedgewood type blue profusely covered with leaves and grapes; there are classical web type features on each side of the oval center panel.
The maker of this highly decorative and rare piece is Daniel Steel, his Scotia works were located in St. James Street, Burslem, Staffordshire operating from 1790-1824.
