An Extremely Rare Charles II Westmoreland Oak Document Cupboard. English. Circa 1670.

This fine example has its original cocks head hinges and is of that typical rich Westmorland colour and patination.

The carved top rail above a four panelled door with original cocks head hinges, each panel carved with a diamond lozenge centred by a flower.

Internally it has shelves and pigeon holes, the lower door again with original cocks head hinges and diamond lozenge panels enclosing a shelved interior.

A wonderful rare piece of Lakeland furniture.
