A very fine quality William IV period English burr elm Centre Table.

Having superbly figured quarter veneered circular tilting top, raised on unusual turned cluster column central support with triform base and elegant turned bun feet.

This fantastic centre table retains a quite exceptional colour and patina throughout. It is constructed from beautiful burr elm which has been utilised brilliantly due to the quality of the construction.

The cluster column is a most unusual design, one that we have not seen before, and this table really would stand proudly in such a variety of different places around the home.

Very much a feature piece but also most practical in terms of design tables of this type, constructed from this wood and in such untouched good condition simply don't come around very often.

Circa 1835.
