English Underglaze Blue Delftware Plates decorated with Lotus.

Circa 1760.

The pair of Delftware plates is decorated in underglaze blue with the central well painted with a lotus plant growing in a pond surrounded by trees and plants.  The border is ornately decorated with alternating circular diaper and fence work.
