The BADA Christmas Gift ListEnglish Staffordshire Pearlware Neoclassical Faux Marble Obelisks on Pedestal Bases.
Wood Family.
Circa 1790-1800
The pair of Neoclassical pearlware pottery obelisks are of outstanding quality. They are tall in height-double the usual size I have previously owned. They are four-sided with the top columns tapering and are painted in a gray marble color. The pedestal base has a central section painted in an ochre and black color with the base in a green and black marble color. The top of the supporting base with a projecting lip is in a brown and white.

The obelisks are in overall very good condition. One has a small repaired chip to the column on the back side and a small flake invisibly touched up on the green faux marble- see photos for before images. A small hairline runs through the hollow base of one.Stock number
