English Regency Porcelain Small Japan-pattern French-form Cache Pots and Stands.

Pattern 1250, Spode Factory.

Circa 1800-10.

The pair of Regency English porcelain cache pots and stands are beautifully painted in Imari coloration also known as Japan pattern.  The cache pots, with a rolled gilt rim, each have gilt molded dolphin handles to each side with the open mouth of the dolphin on the top and a loop-form lower half.  The rim and foot have wide gilt bands.  To the front and reverse are large Japan botanical panels of flowers in orange, green and blue on a white ground.  Below the panels is a band of unusual design of an orange ground with a white flower head in the center with a gold border.  Below each handle is a mirror blue ground with gilt flowers.

The base, with a flaring foot has a series of eight alternating panels with two different designs on a mirror blue ground. One design is of an orange and gold flower and the other is of a double diamond outline with fish scale gilt interior.

All in great condition with one stand with very minor gilt rubbing where upper section sits.

Mark: Each piece has hand applied Roman numeral II in orange to the base.
