This rare and impressive pottery figure stands in military uniform his arm, leaning on a bust that stands on a plinth. The decoration is colored oxides and made in Staffordshire or possibly Yorkshire. The patriotic theme of this piece has similarities to a painting by Thomas Baxter showing Brittania salutes Nelson.
