Dated: 1780 to 1800 England

A very rare and unusually coloured slipware earthenware baking dish dating to the latter quarter of the 18th century. The dish has a wonderful orange/brown ground slip with applied light mustard coloured decoration in a trailing cross-hatch design. The border features a simple indented pie crust decoration.
