Diamond & Sapphire Gold Brooch of Basket Weave Design.
From the Art Nouveau period an 18 karat yellow gold brooch in the design of a basket decorated with a floral spray set with rose cut diamonds and three cabochon sapphires. The basket has the traditional basket-weave pattern with two rope handles all in a soft coloured 18 karat yellow gold. Blue enamel has been cleverly applied to depict the interior of the basket to create a 3D effect. French hallmark.
Measures 30mm in width x 30mm in height.
Antique brooch (qualifies as over 100 years old).
