Derby Porcelain Large Botanical Soup Tureen, Cover and Stand.
Circa 1815-25.
The Derby porcelain soup tureen, cover and stand are finely painted with exuberantly styled groupings of flowers to four sides, around the rim of the stand and on the cover. The tureen with large lion head terminals on the body of the tureen at the top of each of the four feet, the feet in the form of paws which are also gilded. The loop handled are upswept with a reeded gilt design and lion head terminals. The cover's handle is similarly designed.
Mark: red painted Crown with crossed batons below and the letter D.
