An exceptionally fine pair of Coalport porcelain covered cups and stands, c. 1830. Each cup having double carayatid handles, and finely painted in the style of William Billingsley, with two oval panels of roses, on a gilt ground between gilt scrolls, terminating in stylised acanthus motif. The lightly domed covers being similarly decorated, and surmounted by gilded butterfly finials.
Set upon circular stands, with further decorated with roses and elaborate gilt scrollwork.
Height of cups - 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”.
Diameter of stands - 13.5 cm, 5 2/8”.
Condition - Excellent original condition. No damage. No restoration.
