The kidney-shaped Chinese Export underglaze blue dish depicts a riverside scene of a Chinese walled garden with a three-story building with a long pathway by the riverside to a smaller building by the side of the water where several ships are tied up. In the background are mountains and clouds.
Interestingly this dish is made in an English porcelain dessert shape.
