A Charles II boarded oak and inlaid box, initialled and dated 1667.
The single-piece lid with chip-carved ends, and inlaid to the centre with a large dog-tooth lozenge, the front with paired linear inlaid lozenges above the inlaid date '1667' and centred by the initials 'M O', with Georgian blue lining paper to the interior and printed old catalogue description.
