The openwork dish or stand is bordered in brown and painted with the arms of Sparke of Gunthorpe Hall, Norfolk.
The crest is for the Right Reverent Bowyer Edward Sparke who was born in 1759.
He became Dean of Bristol, Bishop of Chester, between 1810-12, and Bishop of Ely between 1812-1830.
