An appealing Elizabeth I / James I needlework panel, circa 1600.

Worked in tent stitch using coloured wools highlighted with silk, depicting the allegorical figure of 'Summer' wearing fine Elizabethan dress, sickle in hand before ears of corn and meadow flowers, in a later frame with gilt slip.
