A rare antique silver George III York teapot made in 1818 by James Barber and William Whitwell. This large teapot is of circular form with fine hand chased decoration to the body with hand engraving to the spout. The original hallmarked handle is embellished with fine acanthus decoration. The whole pot is in excellent condition and a fine opportunity to acquire an excellent York teapot.
This object incorporates old ivory and has been registered with Defra
