A lovely Antique silver George III tea caddy made in 1789 by Henry Chawner of London. The caddy is of oval shape and has a wonderful pineapple finial and its original key. It is engraved to the upper and lower part of the caddy and has its original family crest and owners initials engraved in a cartouche between two concentric bands. The pineapple was a symbol of wealth and hospitality in eighteenth century England and the colonies.
