A delightful Regency period Chinoiserie painted and decorated Ink Stand.
Having removable central section with original ink wells and original ormolu handle, flanked by two removable pen trays. Raised on two original brass ball feet and two replacement brass ball feet.
This delightful regency period ink stand retains its original ormolu handle and original ink wells.
Two of the exceptional quality original embossed brass ball feet also remain, but two have been replaced by later, more standard brass ball feet.
The item is well worn throughout, but no more so than you would expect for something which has almost certainly been in pretty much daily use throughout a large proportion of its 200 or so years.
What a great addition this would make to any desk top, whether for use or just for decoration.
