Antique English Chamberlain Worcester Porcelain Basket and Cover decorated with Sea Shells,
Circa 1815-20
The circular Chamberlain Worcester covered basket is finely painted large panels of sea shells and seaweed between a painted gilt seaweed design to each side. The openwork cover and rim of the basket are moulded and brightly painted with flowers and topped by a gilt flowerhead finial. The handles are also decorated with gilt vinework.
Dimensions: 5 1/2 inches wide x 5 inches high. (13.97 cm x 12.7 cm).
Mark: Pseudo-Meissen crossed swords in blue.
