Antique Derby Porcelain Chinoiserie Plate after a Chinese Yung Cheng Famille Rose Example.

Derby Factory.

Circa 1810.

The octagonal Derby porcelain replacement plate is painted in the Chinese Yongzheng style with deer in a landscape surrounded by a gilt, scallop link border supporting a pendent bouquet of flowers.

Four famille rose flower groupings decorate the stylized petal rim. This plate was most likely made as a replacement plate for a Chinese Export service.
