Condition report

Of unusual design with an engraved carrying handle and a tripod base fashioned from a single piece oof sheet metal rather than being wrought and incorporating a brass baluster form stem beneath a cast gun-barell cnadle holder with incorporated height adjusting ejector with rams horn handle. The stem is held firm by a twin scroll twist nut to the underside of the tripod base, typical of early Norwegian metalwork lighting devices. This is a rare example in genuine condition, the surface has been cleaned at some stage , but it is clean and well preserved with a slightly oxidised surface. Bearing incidental scars and bruises commensurate with its age and function.
