A superb quality 18th century Georgian North Country Mahogany Chest, having well figured top over four well figured long drawers.

Retaining original brasswear flanked by canted corners with reeded decoration. Raised on elegant shaped ogee bracket feet.

A charming English 18th century chest of drawers, almost certainly made in the north of the country due to the well documented design combination of canted corners and ogee feet.

It has retained a lovely warm colour which creates added elegance. Very much as fit for purpose as the day it was made.

This chest of drawers is practical enough for use in any well used/lived-in part of the house, but at the same time elegant and charming enough to be used as a feature in an important room of the house.

Circa 1770.

Height - 34.5in.
Width - 36in.
Depth - 19in.
