18th-century Large Staffordshire Pottery Figure of A Recumbent Stag.
Circa 1780-1800.
The stag with light brown coat is modeled recumbent with one foreleg draped over the side of the base, the marbled waisted base surrounded by a berried laurel leaf border and an unglazed underside. A similar example was the collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller.
Dimensions: 12 1/2 inches high x 9 1/4 inches x 6 1/4 inches deep.
