18th Century Carved Chippendale Mirror.
A George III 18th century period carved giltwood Chippendale mirror of diminutive size.
A finely carved acanthus leaf perched on elongated 'S' shaped scrolls with opposing leaf carvings, supported on 'C' shaped scrolls and trailing foliage surmounted on crisply carved leaf supports.
The apron is decorated with 'C' scrolls in various forms to match the top.
The 18th century mirror is contemporary but not original to this beautiful frame.
The mercury plate is mounted on a finely carved out- swept border.
The scale of the mirror is diminutive however the design is grand and this is a fine 18th century wall mirror.
